Pregnant Britany Songling was having a fun day shopping when she decided to drop by her local McDonald’s near Detroit, Michigan and get a burger. That’s when she bit into her Big Mac and tasted something bad.
Mrs. Songerling told the Messenger-Index: “It tasted super bad, and for a second I thought that somebody had put chemicals in my burger. I spit it all out and saw this chewed up green piece of plant. After a minute, I knew it was cannabis as I’d seen a Dateline report on cannabis legalization like a month ago. It was crazy, you couldn’t even smell the burger anymore, just the illegal drugs.”
Songling alerted the police who arrested 19-year-old McDonald’s employee, Jessie O’Neal.
When asked why he did it he responded curtly, “because I felt like it.”
Arresting officer, Jackob Bell said, “I’ve seen a lot of bad stuff, but I never seen this.”
Songling says she fears for the health of her baby: “I have a very, very tiny fetus growing inside my belly right now and I don’t know if that harmed it at all. It’s a very scary thought to think baby might be born addicted to marijuana and have learning disabilities.”
Jessie O’Neal was arrested and booked into the River Rouge jail.
McDonald’s has yet to make a formal apology.
