SEATTLE, WA —
Amazon.com plans to giveaway 100,000 pairs of free AmazonFresh branded shoes in each city they launch AmazonFresh.
AmazonFresh is a service that delivers groceries directly to customers’ doors. The program has been so wildly popular in Seattle and Northern California that it has customers in other cities clamoring for the service.
“Our customers love AmazonFresh and we want to give them something besides our amazing service. We think free AmazonFresh branded shoes is not only a way to show our customers that we appreciate them, but a fun way to have our loyal customers help us get the message out that AmazonFresh is coming to their cities,” Amazon spokesman Chuck Taylin said. “We hope the streets are filled with thousands of our amazing customers wearing AmazonFresh shoes.”
The program will be officially launched later this year and only available to current Amazon customers. Amazon will ask customers to apply for the free shoes by answering one simple question: Why do you want AmazonFresh in your city?
