Rush Limbaugh: “Sell Illegal Immigrants For Profit”

Rush Limbaugh said today that illegal immigrants from Mexico should be put on boats and sold overseas.

In a radio interview with Nancy Grace, the right-wing shock jock was asked about President Obama’s new plan to partially legalize some of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in America. Limbaugh dismissed the president’s idea as “amnesty” and offered an unconventional solution of his own.

“If I were Obama I’d sell them for a profit. I’m going to be crucified for saying that, but send them overseas to countries that need cheap, uneducated labor,” he opined. “The liberal media will say it’s impossible to export that many illegals. But I say we can do it if we have enough ships. I suggest this idea because by sending them overseas they will have a tough time swimming back. It’s not just a hop, skip and jump across the border like it is now.”

When asked what Limbaugh thought the immigrants would do overseas he said they could be used as fighters in Nigeria against Boko Haram. Work the oil fields in Saudi Arabia. Used as ‘people who clean’ in Dubai. Limbaugh feels by selling them the United States can regain lost dollars drained from social services by illegals.

In a speech last night, President Obama announced an executive order shielding about 5 million illegal immigrants from deportation.

Republicans have criticized the plan for rewarding lawbreakers and have also lambasted the unilateral and potentially unconstitutional way in which it was imposed. Limbaugh’s exportatoin alternative may be impractical, as he’s suggesting selling people into slavery. But is it possible other nations might want them? Is there a real market?

“People want cheap labor, these illegal Mexicans obviously need work. I’m sure there are overseas countries that will buy them.”

Limbaugh is often dismissed for his off-color, often extreme remarks, but his loyal followers could adopt the radical idea and pressure their representatives.
