MEXICO CITY –
A Mexico City-based pharmaceutical company, Az Medicine, has created a new drug that allows users to scent and color their feces. The drug called FunPoop will only be available online and will not require a prescription. It will be sold as a dietary supplement to circumvent FDA laws.
“Nobody likes the smell of their own excrement,” Hector Menendez, marketing director with Az Medicine said. “And it gets boring seeing brown in the toilet every single day.”
Menendez claims that 90% of people look at their poop before flushing and most do not like what they see.
“Let’s bring some fun into bathroom time,” Menendez said. “”Why not brighten your toilet bowl with a blazing red or a fluorescent pink?”
The company will start with several colors including pink, blue, yellow, green, red and orange, but plans a full spectrum after they analyze initial sales.
Each color will create a unique smell:
- Yellow – Lemon
- Blue – Peppermint
- Red – Apple
- Pink – Watermelon
- Orange – Orange
- Green – Forest
Directions from company literature: To color and scent your poop simply take one pill of the color you desire for two days and on the third day you will pooping that color with its associated smell.
Side effects may include:
- Dizziness
- Rashes
- Diarrhea
- Heart palpitations
- Memory problems
- Fatigue
- Hair growth
- Sleepwalking
- Temporary blindness
- Joint stiffness
- Acne
- Weight gain
“In our trial studies side effects only affected 20% of our test group, so the risk is very minimal,” Menendez said.
