According to Minnesota Police, on June 19th, 26-year-old Nicholas Wig checked his Facebook profile in his victim’s house – but he forgot to log out.

James Wood, the homeowner, had his cash, credit cards, clothes and couch stolen. Wood started to panic, but then he noticed the thief left his Facebook account logged in.

Wood said he had made a status update: “Just got a new couch if any of my lady friends want to come check it out. ;)”

He was arrested the next day and Wood had everything returned but his cash.
